Hints and tips for baking bread
Baking is a great hobby and by following these tips, it can also be very easy!
Tip One:
When kneading bread dough, put oil rather than flour on the work surface. This is needed to stop the dough sticking or getting too dry.
Tip two:
Always allow the dough to rise until it has doubled in size. This will avoid making a loaf that looks remarkably brick-like (from past experience!).
Tip three:
Practise, practise, practise. Not everyone can make a perfect loaf first time round.
Tip four:
Once you have produced a good basic loaf, try to experiment with different flavours and designs.
